ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE, THE WORK WE LOVE

Then and Now: A Decade with Yael Staav

YAEL-ABOUT

Over the course of the year, we’ve been celebrating a decade of The Lift.

We opened our doors in 2005 with high expectations for our tenure ahead; we were excited for what the future had in store for us at our HQ in Mexico City. Since then, we have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing creatives spanning directors, producers, agency folks, production designers, crew, and beyond.

We dug back to the vault to celebrate some of our frequent collaborators and our work together. Take Yael Staav for instance, a director extraordinaire we rep for the Latin American market. We’ve been working with Yael for the past eight years; she is always able to capture subtle moments delicately and with beauty. In 2007, Yael traveled to MXC to shoot “Love Your Heart for Becel,” which delightfully asks, “If you could physically see your heart, would you take care of it?”

And to put the passage of time in context, Yael came back down to Mexico earlier this year to shoot this spot for FIFA entitled “Heroines,” centered on young girls playing soccer and the encouraging lifestyle FIFA seeks to uphold.

Whatever the spot is, we think eight years of collaborating with Yael Staav has been a pleasure and has also proven that she’s a directorial force to be reckoned with. Cheers to many years of collaboration to come, and keep an eye out for more retrospective anniversary posts in the months upcoming.
